Many are anticipating that the smallest of all Apple desktop computers, the Mac Mini, will have a new update soon, since its last overhaul had been in October 2012.

Despite rumors of Apple putting an end to such line of small computers, KDramaStars (quoting a certain Cyberland as its source) recently reported that the Mac Mini 2014 will be released on Nov. 20.

According to the report, Apple "confirmed" the release date along with the latest specs incorporated into the upcoming Mac Mini. These include an Intel i7 4790 processor, Intel Graphics Card, and 16 GB of RAM.  These, however, have never been confirmed by Apple.

Earlier this year, a Belgian computer retailer claimed that a new Mac Mini will be out in February, but such statement had been disregarded.

The Mac Mini remains to be the tech giant's only product lineup that had not been updated in 2013, causing the desktop computer's fans to question and speculate regarding the next update and possible changes.

The last Mac Mini to be released included 4GB of RAM as well as Intel i5 or i7 processors, which have been found to efficiently carry out the tasks normally expected from a desktop computer.

According to Mac Rumors, the Mac Mini 2014 may be integrated with the OS X Mavericks, Apple's latest available operating system. It is also expected to have a minimum hard drive capacity of 1 TB and will still provide the usual hard drives and the company's Fusion Drive. It will then result to an extensive hard drive alongside a flash storage to allow for speedier accessing of files and shorter boot times.

"Apple's recently introduced iMacs can be configured with faster PCI Express-based flash storage options (including the Fusion Drive), and it is likely the same upgrades will be offered for the Mac mini," MacRumors reported.

Furthermore, the Mac Mini 2014 has been rumored to include multiple USB 3.0 ports, Thunderbolt port, Firewire port, HDMI port and SDXC card slot. The upcoming computer is also expected to come with a price tag starting at $599.
