'NCIS: LA' season 6 spoilers: Rescue mission for missing agents, terrorist attack, three-way love encounter

"NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 6 will be airing its first episode, "Deep Trouble Part II," on the CBS Television Network on Sept. 28 at 10 p.m. EST. Fans can look forward to a continuation of the incidents from Season 5's final episode, "Deep Trouble", which aired last May 13.

The sixth season will carry on from where the story left off – NCIS Special Agents G. Callen, played by Chris O' Donnell, and Sam Hanna, portrayed by LL Cool J, were last seen as hostages locked in by several terrorists inside a submarine filled with ammonia nitrate.

Based on Futon Critic's reports, the audience will learn in the first episode of "NCIS LA" Season 6 that the terrorists who trapped Callen and Sam plan to initiate a strike towards an airline within the San Diego area in California.

Meanwhile, fans will also see Henrietta "Hetty" Lange, played by Linda Hunt, cancel her trip to Washington, D.C. and turn her back on her bosses' requests despite the consequences she has to face due to their "White Ghost" operation.

Other characters, including NCIS Special Agent Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah), LAPD Detective Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), "NCIS" Intelligence Analyst Nell Jones (Renée Felice Smith) and Tech Operator Eric Beale (Barrett Foa), will be planning for the rescue of the missing NCIS agents. The group has also been tasked to put a stop to the terrorists' aircraft attack. They are further pressured by the fact that the Navy will be initiating its own attack on the terrorists' underwater vessel.

Speculations have also surfaced regarding tensions between Kensi and Talia, especially when Deeks is involved. Referring to the TV Line's TV Show Spoilers Roundup, the latest details from "NCIS: LA" include a more intense "three-way" encounter among them in the upcoming sixth season.

With Dennis Smith taking on the directorial seat, R. Scott Gemmill wrote the first episode of "NCIS: LA" Season 6 which will premiere in three weeks' time.
