NBA trade rumors: Cavaliers to take Carmelo Anthony in exchange for Kevin Love?

Bad blood between two Cleveland Cavaliers players, Kevin Love and LeBron James, may further convince the Cavaliers coach and manager to trade Love out. As stated by Bay Area News Group beat writer Diamond Leung via Twitter, Love has expressed his opinion regarding the behavior of James during the NBA finals.

As stated in a report from Sports Rageous, James pushed Golden State Warriors player Draymond Green to the floor during the Finals Game 4 and then immediately walked over him. Disgusted and disrespected, Green attempted to punch James in the groin, raising his foul to a Flagrant 1, suspending him from Game 5 of the Finals.

Love, according to the report, is not doing any favors for the Cavaliers. Their single victory took place when Love was not able to play due to a concussion and it is stated he cannot keep up with the star players of their opponents, particularly Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson.

Should the Cavaliers trade out Love, the report states that it is very likely the team will be looking to get Carmelo Anthony from the New York Knicks. A report from The Ringer confirms that this deal would be beneficial for both the Knicks and the Cavaliers.

According to the analysis, Love is better suited for the playing style of the Knicks, giving them a stronger offensive stand, while Anthony would be a better fit for the Cavaliers given how he and LeBron James have discussed talking about playing together for some time now, creating strong synergy that may drive the team forward.

However, there are no official statements released by the Cavaliers or the Knicks. Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Love have yet to express their intent to move to another team and it is possible they will remain where they are unless traded somewhere else for an entirely different team.
