'Narcos' season 2 spoilers: Escobar's death confirmed with latest production leaks

Wagner Moura as Pablo Escobar Netflix

It was previously reported that the second season of "Narcos" will eventually tackle the death of Pablo Escobar, portrayed in the series by actor Wagner Moura. A new report from TMZ reveals that this is indeed going to happen and that production is making sure it is portrayed as accurately as possible.

Acording to the report, the studios attempted to find the very same roof in Medellin where Escobar was shot by the authorities. However, the tenant in the house had refused and the team scrambled to find a similar location. This had proven difficult as many local residents still honored Escobar and did not want to desecrate his memory.

However, the studios did manage to find a house whose resident had agreed to use for the sake of filming the series, and leaked images of the production showcase Wagner Moura lying face down on the roof tiles. It is widely speculated that this photo was taken right as they were filming the death scenes of Pablo Escobar.

It is stated that there is no hint yet in which episode this will occur in the season but given the significance of Escobar in the story it is speculated that this takes place during the season 2 finale. If not then this is likely to take place during the penultimate episode, with the finale showcasing the aftermath of Escobar's death and how his drug cartel affected the world.

The report also revealed an actual photo taken after Escobar's death and this is compared to the leaked set photo of "Narcos" season 2. The photos reveal that the production crew is going to great lengths to ensure that the death sequence is as accurate to the real thing as possible, with Moura dressed in the same style of clothing as Escobar's.

"Narcos" season 2 will premiere this fall on Netflix.
