Minecraft Xbox One release date August 19? Bugs for XBox One, PS4 and PS Vita being fixed by 4J

Mojang and 4J, the co-developers of the highly anticipated Minecraft game, previously declared a vague statement that the release date for the next-generation consoles Xbox One would be sometime in August.

This unclear statement, however, was clarified in an article published in NowGamer.com. The report claimed that a Minecraft forum user posted a photo on Monday of a printout of the game releases for the Xbox One version, which were given at a local Gamestop shop.

According to the leaked picture, "Minecraft" is set to be publicly launched for the Xbox One on August 19.

However, PlayStation 4 users might have to wait a bit longer. No release date has been posted in connection with the launch of the game for this console.

According to Epoch Times, the release date for the PlayStation 4 version might be around the same time the Xbox One version receives its port.

Other sites claim, however, that the aforementioned launch date might be postponed. Based on reports from The Fuse Joplin, the release date for the PS4 and the Xbox One might be moved to September.

A Twitter post from the Scotland-based game developer 4J, which was displayed on August 1, provided details regarding the next-gen console versions of "Minecraft".

"We're still fixing #MinecraftXbox1, #MinecraftPS4 and #MinecraftPSVita bugs. We'll let you know when we hand over to the Cert testing teams," 4J posted.

Swedish independent video game developer Mojang has previously described the Xbox One port of "Minecraft."

According to the developer Mojang's website, the Xbox One version, which could be launched on the Xbox Live Marketplace in August, will be providing notably larger worlds and a more substantial draw distance than on its Xbox 360 predecessor.

Moreover, a report from Total Xbox revealed that custom servers for Minecraft may be available for the Xbox One Edition at some point.

Daniel Kaplan, a developer for Mojang, shared that users may be allowed to have their own online worlds via the customizable servers.
