Gamers who play Minecraft on their personal computers (PC) are probably aware by now that they could be facing a huge security risk due to vulnerabilities. Thankfully, Minecraft developers may have resolved that breach with a new update that was just recently issued.

The security breach is apparently tied up to the Java code for PCs which makes any computer prone and susceptible to potential hacks. The new update however stands to improve this concern and may even go as far as stabilizing game play as well with the new standalone Java which runs only when the game is being played.

By using Java, computers are left with various security holes. Java is considered the second biggest security risk for PC users according to a report from Secunia ApS.

With the update, folks who don't really need Java can opt to remove the full version. Removing the full Java version will not affect their creations, hence giving the hardcore users a big sigh of relief.

The said update is however made for Windows only although a separate version made for Mac users is said to be coming out later in the year as well.

With the update, gamers can look forward to smoother gameplay from hereon, not to mention worrying less about security issues that were primary fears before.
