Two Microsoft flagship devices codenamed Talkman and Cityman have been reported to be the upcoming Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL, respectively. According to Windows Central, both devices are expected to be launched some time after the IFA conference that is to be held in Berlin this September.

According to the report, the devices are most likely going to be presented during the IFA conference and will be released to the general  public by October or November of this year. The report also cites that it is very likely that the Lumia 950 (Talkman) will be released a little bit earlier than the Lumia 950 XL (Cityman).

It is unsure at this point which carriers in the U.S. will offer both devices. Unnamed sources tell Windows Central that AT&T will only offer the regular Lumia 950 and not the Lumia 950 XL. The report also states that Verizon might not sell either of the two products as they are allegedly ending their relationship with Microsoft.

According to the report, both will have a Surface Pen and Smart Cover accessories available for them. They will be made available upon launch and can be purchased separately. The Surface Pen allegedly resembles the accessory also used for the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and can clip onto the Smart Cover. At the time of writing, there is no confirmation if this is the exact Surface Pen used for Microsoft's tablets or if it has undergone subtle changes to be more device-specific toward the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.

The Smart Cover has a circular window in front which allows its owner to access notifications even when the cover is closed, protecting the phone's touchscreen surface. The Smart Cover will be available in black, brown, and silver/ white.

Both phones are expected to run Windows 10 but it is unclear at this point if they will offer several basic requests from fans such as the allotment for removable micro SD cards and 32 GB of internal storage.
