'Jessica Jones' spoilers, release date: Episode titles leaked; show to premiere in October?

Jessica Jones Marvel Comics

The titles for all 13 episodes of the upcoming Marvel/ Netflix series "Marvel's Jessica Jones" have found their way online and were posted on Reddit. The episodes still carry the "AKA" prefix, which was dropped from the show's original title, and five of them also indicate their running time.

At a glance, the episodes appear to refer to Jessica Jones' (Krysten Ritter) cases.

  • 1x01 - AKA Ladies Night (52m)
  • 1x02 - AKA Crush Syndrome (52m)
  • 1x03 - AKA It's Called Whiskey (54m)
  • 1x04 - AKA 99 Friends
  • 1x05 - AKA The Sandwich Saved Me (50m)
  • 1x06 - AKA You're a Winner (54m)
  • 1x07 - AKA Top Shelf Perverts
  • 1x08 - AKA WWJD?
  • 1x09 - AKA Sin Bin
  • 1x10 - AKA The Kumbaya Circle Jerk
  • 1x11 - AKA I've Got the Blues
  • 1x12 - AKA Jewel and the Power Man
  • 1x13 - AKA Smile

According to the original Reddit post, the episode titles were acquired after altering the official Netflix URL for the series, indicating that these might be the actual titles that will be used in the show.

The original post also notes that because of the run time indicated, it may be possible that some of these episodes might already be included in Netflix' database and are simply waiting for the official release date to become available for streaming.

As for the release date, neither Marvel nor Netflix has given an official schedule although December is a current placeholder. However, as pointed out by a report from MTV, it is likely that the series will premiere in October, approximately six months after the release of "Marvel's Daredevil."

Krysten Ritter as she appears in Breaking Bad AMC

"Jessica Jones" follows its titular heroine who was once a costumed superhero and is now working as a private detective specializing on cases that involve people with superpowers or the like. Krysten Ritter, famous for her run in "Breaking Bad," portrays the lead character.

Another Marvel superhero, Luke Cage, will be in the show and will be portrayed by Mike Colter. The series is also set in Hell's Kitchen, the same setting as "Daredevil," which is why some familiar faces will pop up in the series but it hasn't been confirmed if Daredevil (Charlie Cox) himself or any of the Avengers will make a cameo.

Following "Jessica Jones," Netflix and Marvel will launch a "Luke Cage" and an "Iron Fist" series. Completing the circle is the series "The Defenders" which puts Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage in one team similar to the Avengers.
