The second major update for "MADDEN NFL 18" is finally up for gamers to download. Bug fixes, new features, and general updates are set to make the EA sports title a more enjoyable game.

General updates will be making the newest MADDEN installment stable as it is geared to address crash issues reported by players.

With the update, players can now replay dramatic gameplay moments using the Longshot Game Rewind feature. However, this is only available in the single player mode. Ultimate Team squads will now be also playable in Squad Seasons.

Competitive players can measure up their skills with the new monthly leaderboard that will post other player's Madden Ultimate Team (MUT) stats.

Gameplay changes include players now being able to create complex rules and lineup restrictions. In the Competitive Game Style, additional thresholds will be implemented like broken sacks, hit stick fumbles, auto-broken tackles, and AI Strip Ball attempts.

Three new banners have been added that will be triggered when a player with a "low" catch rating drops a pass or INT, also when an AI player with the strip ball trait cause a strip fumble. The new banner will also be triggered when an AI player with high hit power causes a big hit fumble.

Improvements to the gameplay include the MUT Chemistry abilities graphics. This will show the symbol of the ability that is triggered in the player ring, which will now be chemistry blue when it flickers.

Fixes will be implemented on an exploit blitz out of 3-4 Under, as well as exploits around Playmaker mechanic while using Target Passing. Issues about the Gauntlet in Skills Trainer stopping at level 39, as well as the issue around the Gunslinger trait that does not function correctly at time.

The new patch will also fix the issue where a user would be unable to call a timeout after the opponent had called a previous timeout.
