MacBook Pro 2014 release date soon as MacBook Pro Retina discounts emerge online

Apple fans may not have to wait longer for the MacBook Pro release date as the device may come soon hinted by the discounts spotted for the current model of MacBook Pro Retina.

Retailer MacMall offered MacBook Pro with Retina display for $2,399.99, which is 21 percent off the original cost of the device $3,049. The non-Retina laptop sells for $1,229.99, which is a $269 discount off its list price of $1,499. The discounts are part of the retailer's Back-to-School Specials.

The MacBook Pro Retina packs a 15.4-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display with 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7 processor, 16 GB RAM, 768 GB flash storage, Intel HD Graphics 4000 and 1 GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M. The non-Retina MacBook Air, on the other hand, has 13.3-inch display, 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7 processor, 8 GB RAM, and 750 GB internal storage among others.

MacMall also gives out discounts to the 21.5-inch iMac that boasts Intel Core i5 processor clocked at 2.7 GHz, 8 GB RAM, and 1 TB hard drive. The device is offered for $999.99. Buyers can save as much as $299 off the original price of $1,299.

Meanwhile, the Mac Pro desktop packed with 3.7 GHz quad-core Intel Xeon E5 processor, 12 GB RAM, and 256 GB flash storage received a mere $19 price cut from its full pricing. Same discount is offered to 16GB Wi-Fi only model of iPad Mini with Retina display. Buyers can nab the device for $379.99.

This is not the first time that deals and discounts for the current models of MacBook Pro. Last month, discounted units of the device were spotted on Amazon.

Meanwhile, KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also predicted that Apple will release a 12-inch fanless MacBook device. Moreover, the analyst said that the company is prepping for the September release date of the said laptop.

This year's version of the MacBook Pro is reportedly to pack Intel Broadwell chips, a fanless design and a new trackpad. The new processor is claimed to be more powerful. The upcoming trackpad will provide tactile feedback for enhanced experience.

MacBook Pro 2014 release date could be in time for the holiday season. However, Apple has not announced the details of its upcoming devices as well as its timeline in launching these gadgets.
