After the launching of Apple's latest offerings, including the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch at the Apple Keynote Conference Launch last September, the company has once again brought on the latest speculations for upcoming gadgets such as the slimmer MacBook Air with Retina display that may come out this 2014.
Speculations have highlighted the possibility of the new MacBook Air launching this year, with improved features and overhauls compared to the previous models in its lineup, namely the 11-inch MacBook Air and the 13-inch MacBook Pro.
There have been limited details about the release of the MacBook Air 2014, but rumors claim that an Intel Broadwell or Intel Core M processor will be incorporated into the device. If these speculations prove to be accurate, then laptop users can look forward to the tech giant's new and improved MacBook Air in 2015.
After looking into the impressive screens on the MacBook Pro Retina, current and new Apple users already want similarly distinct and remarkable screens on the upcoming MacBook Air. A higher resolution for a laptop that has Retina display will generate helpful benefits, such as easier-to-read texts and crystal clear images.
According to the NPD DisplaySearch, the MacBook Air 2014 will come with a 2304 x 1440 resolution, while Forward Progress has reported that the upcoming device will feature a 2732 x 1536 resolution.
Interestingly, the MacBook Air Retina will come with a new and reversible USB Type C cable that will enable users to plug in the cable in two directions.
A longer battery life is also expected if the new MacBook Air will be integrated with a new Intel processor.The current MacBook Air laptop provides, at most, 9 to 12 hours of battery life, whereas the MacBook Pro with Retina display can generate 8 to 9 hours of battery life.
It has also been rumored that the upcoming MacBook Air would not be using any fans, and would include a new trackpad which does not require any clicking action. If confirmed by Apple, this will be the first time that the company will be developing a fanless computer for its MacBook Air lineup.
