"Longmire" season 4 was officially launched on Netflix this past Sept. 10 and numerous fans binged-watched all of its episodes the weekend it was released. The streaming network has yet to officially confirm if the show would be renewed for another season but fans have launched a campaign to ensure that it does.

The fourth season did clear up most of the loose plotlines from the previous three seasons produced and aired by A&E. However, it ended on a cliffhanger when an intruder interrupted Walt (Robert Taylor) and Donna's (Ally Walker) intimate moment, hinting that there is the intention to continue with a fifth season.

Fans have since formed the "Longmire Posse" fan group, which continues to launch their campaign to get Netflix to renew the show. Their campaign extends from Facebook to Twitter and continually ask "Longmire" fans to keep watching the show on Netflix to let the streaming network know there is an audience for the series.

The fans aren't the only ones demanding for the show to get renewed for a fifth season either. As previously reported, stars Taylor and Lou Diamond Phillips also stated that they hoped to keep the show going. According to a recent interview with Walker she also hinted that there is a chance for the show to come back.

"I think there is a possibility that I'm going back, and if you watch it, there's a really interesting little cliffhanger that you'll see at the end of this year," she explained in an interview with Parade. "So I'm pretty sure I'm going back, and we'll see what happens."

A report from MNR Daily points out that Netflix took its time in producing "Longmire" season 4 and it is possible that the network is still looking at the show's performance to determine whether or not it would be reasonable to renew it for season 5. After all, the fourth season had only just been released a month prior.
