It is unconfirmed whether LG G3 accidentally or intentionally hinted its new device that is suspected to take on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
It seems that LG wants to give Samsung a scare as is it hinted that it is preparing its own phablet with stylus. An image of the stylus-equipped handset recently appeared in a promotional video of the company for the LG G3 Beat. The phablet appeared beside the LG G3 and LG G3 Beat.
LG G3 hit the market earlier this year and now the company is rolling out the LG G3 Beat. Based from the video and its name, the LG G3 Stylus will feature a built-in stylus that is docked in the device just like the S-Pen used in some Samsung devices. The video showed that it did not pack a laser autofocus and it sports a single LED flash only. This suggests that its camera features may be inferior to that of the LG G3.
The stylus of the LG's phablet looks like the traditional capacitive pen in contrast to the Wacom-based pointers used by Samsung. However, LG has not announced the official specs of the new smartphone.
According to rumors, aside from the stylus, G3 Stylus will feature a quad-core Snapdragon 801 or 805 processor paired with 3 GB RAM for breezy multitasking, a gigantic 5.9-inch Quad HD display, 13 MP rear-facing camera and the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
LG has not revealed concrete plans in releasing the LG G3 Stylus and which markets it will target. However, if LG Electronics planned to battle head on with Samsung's smartphone-tablet hybrid, it will most likely release its device around the same time as the Galaxy Note 4. Thus, it is natural to expect the new handset in the upcoming IFA event in Berlin kicking off on September 5.
