Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, has taken to his official website to confirm that his personal assistant, Michael Sacha, has passed away following a sudden ATV accident around midnight this past Monday, April 25.

"I am beyond devastated to report that my personal assistant Mike Sacha passed away today in an ATV accident here in Nashville," the singer explained in his post. "He was a member of our family and one of the greatest young men I have ever had the pleasure to not only work with, but also to become friends with."

Kid Rock also explained that he made the official statement to stop the rumors from spreading that he was the one who died in the ATV accident as well as to ask fans and the media to back off a little and give respect to the grieving family.

Michael Sacha, 30, reportedly used an ATV to escort two guests who had attended a cookout at Kid Rock's property. He had driven the two out to the driveway on Knight Drive, Nashville, where they were able to get a ride home via an Uber call.

On the way back up Sacha lost control of the vehicle and crashed. Kid Rock and a friend discovered the body lying face down on the driveway the next morning. According to The Tennessean, Sacha was already dead by the time the fire department responded to the 911 call.

Sacha's death was later released to the public by the local police department via Twitter, confirming that Sacha, not Kid Rock, was the one found on the road. It was also confirmed in the tweet that the death has been ruled as an accident.

Sacha was a business graduate from the East Michigan University and has been working as Kid Rock's aide since circa 2012. Prior to this he had worked in real estate, selling dozens of properties from 2009 to 2012.
