'Justice League' movie cast news: more than one Green Lantern?

Green Lantern Corps. DC Comics

According to a recent report from Collider, it appears that there will be more than one person called the Green Lantern in the upcoming "Justice League" Part One and Part Two films.

The 2011 "Green Lantern" film that starred Ryan Reynolds focused on Hal Jordan, who is arguably the most popular character to don the mantle of Green Lantern. However, in the DC comic books, there are other people who eventually become members of the Green Lantern Corps. such as John Stewart and Guy Gardner.

According to the report from Collider, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. may utilize all three characters instead of just Hal Jordan. Rather than having just one Green Lantern in "Justice League" Parts One and Two, all three or even more Green Lanterns may make an appearance.

A recent report from Heroic Hollywood indicates Tyrese Gibson is serious about playing John Stewart. Gibson has announced that he did have a meeting with Warner Bros. although he did not state what the meeting was about. Gibson was later asked if he would make a real confirmation of his involvement during this year's Comic-Con.

"You never know, I might be there on the other side of an announcement," he replied. "You never know."

Rumors have also spread across the Internet about Chris Pine playing either Wonder Woman's love interest or Hal Jordan.

Gibson is most notably known for starring alongside Vin Diesel and the rest of the crew in the "Fast & Furious" films which recently broke several world records with its increasing box office success, while Pine has seen his popularity rise after starring as Captain James T. Kirk in the "Star Trek" reboot films.
