Jill Duggar pregnancy update: '19 Kids and Counting' star feels nears end of first trimester

Jill Duggar visits hubby Derick Dillard in his workplace.

As she nears the end of her pregnancy's first trimester, TLC reality show "19 Kids and Counting" star Jill Duggar says her physical discomforts are starting to disappear.

The expectant mom revealed to People Magazine that she has been feeling better in the past few days, as she is gradually losing signs of morning sickness.

"The last couple of days I have had a little bit of a break from the craziness of morning sickness, more like all day sickness, and that has been a blessing," Jill admitted, referring to her most evident pregnancy symptom.

By feeling more comfortable these days, the 23-year-old reality TV star revealed that she has been spending more time in the kitchen again.

"I made taco soup, tater tot casserole and pumpkin bread," the mother-to-be said. "The pumpkin bread was something I was craving. It was good. I asked one of my friends to text me her recipe and she did and said, 'Never stand in the way of pregnant woman and food.' It was wonderful to be able to cook again."

Jill also mentioned about the commitment of her husband, Derick Dillard, to taking care of her pregnancy needs – from making her breakfast in bed to planning out their baby's name, especially with their little one expected to arrive in March, just six months away.

"Next week is my second trimester, I am so excited," Jill said. "Now that I am feeling better, we are going to start getting things ready for the baby and start thinking of names seriously. Finding out the gender soon will help with that."

Jill and her 25-year-old husband made the decision to reveal their pregnancy at only two months after praying about it.

"Understanding that the majority of miscarriages happen within the first trimester, and believing that every life is precious no matter how young, we decided to share our joyful news as soon as we could," the reality TV star told Page Six.

Jill also stated that they intentionally had a short engagement to keep themselves virtuous and pure before exchanging wedding vows.

For the dutiful couple, living a life that is centered on faith remains to be a mutual decision, and the joy of pregnancy is something that Jill claimed she is glad to be going through.

Jill and Derick tied the knot in Springdale, Arkansas on June 21, and their wedding celebrations will be aired through "19 Kids and Counting" on TLC every Tuesday at 9 p.m.
