"Jessica Jones" season 2 will arrive on Netflix this coming March 8.

The second season of "Jessica Jones," the TV adaptation of another Marvel comic book superhero, is set for a release date this March courtesy of media streaming tycoon Netflix.

The new installment, which drops two years after the first season, will see Krysten Ritter return as the superpowered human Jessica Jones along with Rachael Taylor who plays Trish Walker, Jones' adopted sibling. Besides them, Eka Darville, who plays Malcolm Ducasse, and Carrie-Anne Moss, who stars in the series as Jeri Hogarth, will also be making a comeback in the new series sequel. And despite dying in the first season's finale, Killgrave, David Tennant, will also be featured in the new installment, although it remains unclear whether he will be alive or will be appearing as a flashback.

Alongside this new season confirmation, Netflix also dropped the first trailer for the upcoming season 2 of "Jessica Jones." The preview features Jones now back on her feet after the events that transpired in the first season involving Killgrave.

It is also evident in the trailer that Jones is keen on investigating about something, which Inverse indicated to be the heroine's search for the source of her unnatural abilities.

This new season will comprise 13 episodes, same as the first installment, with each running an hour long.

The first installment in the "Jessica Jones" series first dropped on Netflix November of 2015. The series was praised for its portrayal of a female superhero who possesses human qualities much like a normal person. It sees the story of orphan Jessica Jones who mysteriously acquired superpowers after waking up from a coma and her struggles to find out the truth about the root of her abilities.

Fans will be able to access the second season of Netflix's "Jessica Jones" on March 8.
