Latest reports claimed that the two variants of iPhone 6 will be released simultaneously. The 4.7 and 5.5 inch models are set to be released soon.
It was previously reported that the 4.7 inch smartphone will be launched in the fall or in September, while the larger variant will be released at a later date, most probably a month after or in December. However, Bloomberg cited unnamed sources claiming that the two iPhones will be launched sooner than later.
Those familiar with Apple's plans also said that both variants will be heading to mass production next month. This will ensure that the device will be hitting the shelves by September.
Apple was forced to enlarge the screen of its smartphones due to the immense pressure from its rivals or Android-based smartphones, which shamelessly increase the size of their panels.
Tavis McCourt analyst Raymond James claimed that the 5.5 inch iPhone 6 phablet price will be $100 more compared to the 4.7 inch model. The analyst report also stated that the waiting Apple fans do not mind the additional price. His claims were backed by his market research and survey.
"Data seems to suggest meaningful demand for a larger screen, which should logically mean the iPhone 6-cycle will be strong for upgrade sales, which combined with modest contribution from wearables should cause a modest acceleration in revenue growth in fiscal 2015," he added in his report to the investors.
Aside from 4.7 and 5.5 inches screen display, both models of iPhone 6 were rumored to come with next-gen A8 processor, iOS 8, as well as improved camera and fingerprint sensor. However, the Cupertino-based company has not revealed the official specs and features of its flagship phone.
Aside from iPhone 6, new iPads, iWatch, and MacBook Pro 2014 are set to arrive this fall after the launch of teh company's smartphones. The devices are set to dominate the gift-giving season.
