There is a big chance that iPhone 6 release date may happen at the Worldwide Developers' Conference happening today as alleged video of iPhone surfaced online.

BGR cited French website Nowhereelse.fr which published the video of the rumoured iPhone 6 amidst the preparations for Apple's annual tech event.

Based on the purported video, the first image shows a large resemblance to the current iPhone 5S. However, the back panel showed something that is not found in the current handset.

Surprisingly, the iPhone in the leaked video aligned with the rumoured specs and features as well as to the mock-ups of the supposed 4.7-inch Apple smartphone that previously hit the Web. In addition, the device in the video has more round edges compared to the iPhone 5S. Lastly, the alleged iPhone 6 also seemed to have sloped edges on top and bottom of the device, which is a new leak.

However, there was speculation that the leaked video is fake. It is very unusual for Apple to show off its new flagship smartphone ahead of the WWDC event, more especially during the preparations for the event. Furthermore, if the iPhone 6 will be released in the said tech event, it did not give out invites to the press just like in its previous iPhone releases.

Meanwhile, other rumors claimed that the iPhone 6 will be announced on Sept. 19. According to website apfelpage.de, support representatives of carrier in Germany Deutsche Telekom were telling its consumers that the next iPhone 6 will be released on the third Friday of September. However, Apple has not confirmed it yet.

This is backed up by Apple's previous release dates when iPhone 5S and 5C were released on Sept. 20, 2013 and the iPhone 5 was launched in Sept. 21 in 2012.

Reports stated that the next iPhone 6 will come in two variants. One model will pack a 4.7-inch screen display and will be announced in September. The other model with 5.5 inches was expected to arrive in October or later.
