Apple's iPhone 6 release date will come soon as mass production of the smartphone is set to begin.

According to G for Games, which cited Chinese media, the iPhone 6 is currently in PVT (Product Validation Test) stage, which is the final stage before a device enters mass production. This means that the assembly line is checking for possible issues and damages that may hinder the production.

During the PVT stage, Apple produces a small number of iPhone 6 units to be submitted for final quality control. From the feedback, the assembly line or the production phase is further fine-tuned to ensure that the production is all aligned. When everything is ready, the iPhone 6 will enter mass production followed by the official unveiling.

Recent reports claimed that a retail box leaked online. The photo was from an unnamed source from China. However, the alleged retail box is fake since the photo of iPhone 6 on the box does not show the new iOS 8 user interface. The icon of the Health app is missing.

Meanwhile, it is reported that the iPhone 6 will be available in two variants with one of the versions targeting the phablet category to take on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 set to be released September 3. This smartphone is set to pack a 5.5 inches screen display. The other variant is claimed to pack a 4.7 screen panel. The smaller version of iPhone 6 is rumored to be released in its usual launch window in September and the 5.5 inch phablet is rumored to be launched in October.

Other rumored features of the next iPhone 6 are 64-bit A8 processor, iOS 8, as well as improved fingerprint sensor and camera were some of the suspected features of the upcoming iPhone 6. Latest reports claimed that the iPhone 6 release date will be on Sept. 9, which is earlier than previous rumors that claimed that the handset will be launched on Sept. 19 based on previous iPhone releases.
