There is an onslaught of phablets in the market with almost every manufacturer announcing their bet in the category.

Recently, Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi announced its latest entries in the battlefield – the Xiaomi Mi Note and another variant, the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro. The latter has higher end specs and features, and it joins the ranks of other phablets in the market such as the iPhone 6 Plus and the Galaxy Note 4.

The following is the comparison among the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, the iPhone 6 Plus and the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro.

Measurements and Dimensions

Just when tech enthusiasts thought that Apple unveiled the thinnest phablet in the market with the iPhone 6 Plus (7.1 mm), beating Samsung Galaxy Note 4's thickness (8.5 mm), Xiaomi took everyone by surprise when it announced the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro measuring 6.95 mm. It is also the lightest among the three weighing 161 grams, while the other two phablets weigh over 170 grams. Xiaomi's offering is a perfect smartphone for people looking for a thin and light handset.

Screen Display

Apple surprised consumers when it finally yielded to the undying demands to increase the size of the screen of its devices. The iPhone 6 Plus sports a 5.5-inch screen display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. However, this is slightly inferior to the screens of the Note 4 and the Mi Note Pro, both having 5.7-inch screens with quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

Processor

Apple's iPhone 6 Plus is powered by an A8 processor with M8 co-processor. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 packs a quad-core Snapdragon 805 clocked at 2.7 GHz, while the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro is equipped with the latest Snapdragon 810 SoC.

Internal Storage

The iPhone 6 Plus is available in 16 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB models. The Galaxy Note 4 has 32 GB internal storage but includes a microSD slot for up to 128 GB of additional storage. Lastly, the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro is available in 16 GB and 64 GB storage variants.

Operating System

Apple's phablet comes with iOS 8 that packs a new array of features such as Apple Pay and iHealth. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 runs with Android 4.4 KitKat OS topped with TouchWiz UI. Xiaomi Mi Note Pro runs with MIUI 6 customized by Xiaomi.

Camera

The iPhone 6 Plus has an 8-megapixel rear snapper and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera, which may seem mediocre compared to Samsung Galaxy Note 4's 16- and 3.7-megapixel combo and Xiaomi's phablet's 13-megapixel back camera and 4-megapixel front shooter.

Battery

While the iPhone 6 Plus is supported by a 2915 mAh battery, the Galaxy Note 4 and Mi Note Pro are supported with 3220 mAh and 3000 mAh battery capacity, respectively.
