Apple is set to roll out the iOS 8.1 update on Oct. 20, which is expected to bring loads of bug fixes.
iOS 8.1 update will include several bug fixes for the issues plaguing the iOS 8. The company already rolled out the first beta version of iOS 8.1 to registered developers in order to test the first update of the mobile software. The beta arrives as build number 12B401.
Latest reports say that the iOS 8.1 will include support for the Apple's mobile payments service, Apple Pay, which is launching this month. Moreover, the Cupertino-based company is also simultaneously working on iOS 8.2 and iOS 8.3, both of which will add functionality to the new operating system.
iOS 8 is off to a rough start as the latest operating system is plagued with bugs and issues after its launch alongside iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Recently, users claim that a bug in the iOS 8 causes the files in the iCloud Drive to be deleted and gone without a trace. Moreover, Apple launched the iCloud Drive that enables users to sync thier phones to their Macs. However, the new feature works only with iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite. Thus, until the Yosemite appears in the scene, they will not gain access to iCloud Drive.
Users also complained about iPhone's battery life shortened compared to the iOS 7. Some users claimed that their handsets get very hot upon installing the operating system. These claims are not new since new mobile software comes with added features that hog the battery of the device.
Lastly, an unnamed bug was reported to come with Apple's new HealthKit that expunges some apps from the App Store. The HealthKit was supposed to become a central command center for all fitness data.
Meanwhile, Apple still has not unveiled the complete list of the change log on what is coming with the first iOS 8 update.
