Apple is currently rolling out the latest iOS 8.0.2 update for the devices that received the new iOS 8. The new update heralds fixes and solutions to the bugs and issues found in the latest mobile software.
Within 24 hours after Apple released the iOS 8.0.1 update, it immediately launched the new iOS 8.0.2 update. Have gadget users not learned from the past iOS releases yet? As predicted, iOS 8 was plagued with bugs and issues on its launch with the new Apple smartphones – iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
In the support page in its website, Apple posted, "iOS 8.0.2 is available now. It fixes the loss of cellular service and use of Touch ID that may have affected you if you have an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus and you downloaded iOS 8.0.1. It includes improvements and bug fixes originally in iOS 8.0.1. We apologize for inconveniencing you if you were affected by the bug in iOS 8.0.1."
One of the issues addressed by the recent update is the bug that restricts users from making a call or sending a text message. It also fixes the slowed Wi-Fi connection brought about by the new OS as well as the problems in receiving cellular signals. Moreover, the latest update solves the issue on the Touch ID fingerprint sensor that has prevented over 40,000 users from unlocking their devices.
However, some users have claimed that Wi-Fi connectivity issues are still unresolved, and some apps are obviously not ready for iOS 8. Others also say that the latest iOS 8 makes some popular apps crash, such as Facebook and Dropbox. They say that apps "constantly freeze and crash." Some users posted their complaints on Apple's App Store.
Many reports say that problems only arise in the new iPhone 6 smartphones, and the bugs have not affected the old versions of iPhone – 4S, 5 5S and 5C.
Meanwhile, the company also gives users the option to revert to the previous version of the operating system, while the tech giant fixes the current issues that is troubling many users. The Cupertino-based company has promised to roll out another version of the mobile OS in the following days, although a specific date was not dropped.
