iOS 10 jailbreak release date: tool may be postponed due to new patch

Apple's upcoming mobile operating system, iOS 10, is expected to arrive in September, with a jailbreak said to follow soon after Apple

It was previously reported that the Pangu team recently showcased Cydia running on iOS 10 during a presentation at the Mobile Security Conference aka MOSEC. However, as pointed out in a report from Phone Arena, this does not immediately mean an iOS 10 jailbreak will be released soon as a new patch update complicates the whole process.

According to the report, Apple's engineers have released a patch that comes with the new iOS 10 public beta, also known as the developer's beta 2, and this new patch completely eliminates the loopholes and issues that Pangu exploited in order to get Cydia running.

However, this also means that the likelihood of the full iOS 10 jailbreak coming out anytime soon is very low. The report continues to state that the iOS 10 jailbreak will probably launch only after Apple launches the official build in September.

Fans speculate that Pangu or a separate jailbreak team may be able to properly hack into the system and build a final jailbreak tool by the middle of October but this won't be released until it has been tested and when Apple slows down in releases patches. With this in mind the jailbreak took might come out by late December or even early 2017.

By this time Apple may already be working on iOS 10.1 or iOS 10.2 but the base version of the operating system will have been hacked and available for consumers to jailbreak.

The report explains that this also means a proper jailbreak for iOS 9.3.3 and 9.3.2 will not release until the end of this year, presumably around September to November when Apple's attention has completely shifted to iOS 10 and have no further intentions of updating and patching iOS 9.

iOS 10 is expected to come with a lot of new features including improved photo management, notification management and more multi-tasking capabilities, particularly for the new iPad Pro. It is undetermined if the iOS 10 jailbreak tools will be able to work around all of these features.

Does the Church of England need to re-think its messaging?

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
