'Infinity War' spoiler: Funko Pop leak reveals Thor's new weapon in upcoming movie

Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the god of lighting, will no longer be able to shock Marvel fans once "Avengers: Infinity War" gets released, as his Funko Pop toy reveals what weapon he will be wielding against Thanos.

A photo has been leaked to the internet, which shows Thor's "Infinity War" version for a Funko Pop figurine. The said toy shows Thor wielding an axe instead of his legendary Mjolnir hammer or the swords he used in "Ragnarok." This means that the Asgardian god and member of the Avengers will be fighting differently compared to how he was shown in the previous movies.

The said axe is named Jarnbjorn and is basically the weapon Thor used before he was granted the enchanted Mjolnir. Those who have watched "Ragnarok" can recall that Mjolnir was also destroyed by Hela, the Asgardian goddess of death and the antagonist of that movie. This is why Thor will have to make do without his iconic hammer, which only he can carry. This was quite unfortunate for fans of the franchise since Thor and his hammer Mjolnir have almost become synonymous with each other.

Still, the god of lightning and thunder did not let this stop him, and he will be back to where he began before he was chosen by Mjolnir. The first instances of Thor using Jarnbjorn were back in his partying and raiding days, where young Odinson spent much of his time meddling with the Vikings of Earth back in 800 A.D. Thor could be seen brandishing his rather large axe when he had to defend his Viking drinking buddies from assailants.

It still remains to be seen, however, if Jarnbjorn actually has the power to kill Thanos, let alone stop him, since it can be assumed to be weaker than the legendary Mjolnir. Whether Thor's Jarnbjorn will be able to defeat Thanos or just graze him will be confirmed once "Avengers: Infinity War" gets released on April 25.
