It's only over a month now before consumers will finally see the official look of the upcoming HTC One M9, although the handset has been spotted almost everywhere as leaks of the smartphone were passed left and right by tech websites.

Now, another bit of info about the future HTC One M9 has emerged saying that a version of the handset meant solely for developers in the U.S. will be released. The new intel came from reliable HTC tipster @upleaks, who has been releasing pieces of information about various HTC smartphones.

"HTC Hima will also have Developer Edition (only for US)," the tweet reads.

This is a new piece of news and no other information was revealed. It is speculated that this version will be openline and will be unlocked or SIM-free as well as with unlocked bootloader.

HTC Source revealed some more insider information from unnamed sources about the forthcoming HTC One M9.

The smartphone is also predicted to come in different variants with models boasting full HD and quad HD screen displays. Other reports point out that the difference between the models lies in the processor with one model to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 810 SoC, while the other model will be equipped with a 64-bit MediaTek MT6795 octa-core chipset.

Other rumored features of the device is either a 5-inch or 5.5-inch screen panel, Adreno 420 co-processor, 3 GB of RAM, 20.7-megapixel back camera and 13-megapixel front-facing camera or an Ultrapixel shooter. The smartphone will run with Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OS with HTC Sense 7 UI.

More information about this particular variant will surely be revealed during the HTC press event on March 1. The Taiwanese OEM manufacturer already sent out the invitations for the said event. Apart from the smartphone, the company is rumored to announce a fitness band and another mid-range smartphone.
