HTC One M8 vs iPhone 6 specs, features and design comparison

 Apple

With Apple's launching of its three latest devices, the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch, the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 is being compared with its Android competitors, such as the HTC One M8 which boasts a larger touch screen, an expandable memory, and a quad-core processor.

In comparison, the sleek iPhone 6 handset comes with a 720p Retina HD display and a speedier A8 processor.

With a 4.7-inch display, the iPhone 6 has evidently made an upgrade from the 4-inch iPhone 5S. While Apple retained the aluminum back panel, the handset's corners and edges can be observed as more rounded. The power button has also been placed on the phone's side for users to easily reach.

Similarly, the HTC One M8 has been given a more sophisticated and comfortable design, especially with its brushed aluminum texture and glossy coat. Its stereo speaker grilles also remain in front.

Looking into their features and specs, the iPhone 6's camera comes with an 8-megapixel iSight camera and LED flash, while the HTC One M8 is incorporated with a 4-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash. Both handsets come with a 1080p video resolution.

With the iPhone 6 running on iOS8, the HTC One M8 is integrated with the Android 4.4. KitKat as its main operating system. The said Android gadget makes use of a 2,600mAh battery cell with up to 20 hours talk time on 3G, whereas the iPhone 6's battery has standard talk time of up to 14 hours.

While the One M8 comes with a 16GB on-board storage, it also features microSD support for cards of a maximum of 128GB. The handset is integrated with a wide range of connectivity options, including 4G LTE and 3G mobile data, Wi-Fi (Direct and Hotspot), DLNA, Bluetooth, microUSB, GPS, MHL, NFC and an infrared blaster.

 HTC

On the other hand, the iPhone 6 offers three storage options- 16GB, 64GB and 128GB. Availing of the two larger storage options will call for a higher cost. In terms of connectivity, Apple's latest handset offers 4G ad 3G as well as wide-ranging Wi-Fi capabilities, such as voice over LTE or VoLTE, and Wi-Fi calling in certain countries.

To be made available on Sept. 19, the iPhone 6 will be released in a number of countries, including the U.S., U.K., Canada, France, Germany, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, and Puerto Rico.
