HTC One A9 release date this Friday for AT&T; Verizon launch in December

The official website for AT&T has now listed the HTC One A9 as the device will launch this upcoming Friday, Nov. 6. At the moment the phone can be pre-purchased for only $399, although according to the iDigital Times this price will increase to $499 starting Nov. 7.

AT&T will offer several purchasing options, including a two-year plan for $99, a monthly plan for $17.34 per month for 30 months,  $21.67 for 24 months and $26 for 20 months. If the phone is purchased off-contract, it will be sold at a hefty $519 from AT&T.

The report also cites that the HTC One A9 is indeed compatible with the Verizon network, although the device will not launch with Verizon until some time in December. No specific release date has yet been announced thus far but it is likely Verizon will launch the device in time for the Christmas shopping spree before the holidays.

No pricing details for the Verizon offers have yet been released, although it is speculated to be similar to Verizon's past HTC offers and it should mimic the same price range offered by AT&T. 

The HTC One A9 will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box with HTC's Sense 7 running on top. Powering the unit is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 SoC and 3 GB of RAM. It will feature an SD card slot for expanded memory, a 13-MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and a full HD 5-inch AMOLED display.

It will be available in two variants. One features 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage while the other has 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of storage space. Both devices can be expanded to have up to 2 TB of space via an SD card.

As reported by PhoneArena, this device will mark a possible comeback for HTC. The company has reportedly been missing lately with only the HTC One M8 and One M9 being the only notable recent releases.
