HTC M8 Prime: Top 5 features

HTC One M8

HTC M8 Prime features are making the rounds again.

The HTC M8 Prime is rumored to be the high end version of the current HTC M8 smartphone. Some of the features that consumers can expect from the smartphone are: 5.5-inch WQHD panel; Snapdragon 805, quad core 2.5GHz; 3GB RAM; Cat. 6 LTE radio; UltraPixel rear camera with depth sensor; and water-resistant feature.

It is still unknown when is the possible release date of the handset. However, there are great chances that the device will be launched in the third or fourth quarter of this year to battle head on with other handsets such as iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Below are the top five features of HTC M8 Prime that consumers should watch out for.

Design

One of the probable selling points of HTC M8 Prime is the metal casing of the handset. The new handset will not pack an aluminum casing but a composite of the metal with liquid silicone which offers more benefits than aluminum such as better durability, higher thermal conductivity and cost-effective production.

Screen Display

The HTC M8 Prime will sport a 5.5-inch WQHD panel. The smartphone has a big screen that is the same size of Galaxy Note 2's. This means that the handset will be at par with other smartphones like the rumored Samsung Galaxy Note 4 allegedly to pack the same screen resolution.

Camera

Latest rumors claimed that HTC M8 Prime will pack an UltraPixel rear camera with depth sensor. Moreover, the handset was also speculated to pack a duo camera at the back with dual LED flash.

Operating System

Reports claimed that HTC M8 Prime will pack the next generation of Android OS dubbed as 4.5 Lollipop.

Water-resistant feature

Although water resistant feature is not something new, HTC is known for offering cheaper devices compared to other handsets that packed the same feature such as Samsung Galaxy S5 and Sony Xperia smartphones.
