HTC has already unveiled a couple of smartphones for their Desire series this year; including the Desire 210 Dual SIM, Desire 310 Dual SIM, Desire 516 Dual SIM, Desire 616 Dual SIM, and Desire 816.

At present, HTC's Desire 820 has already been unveiled in India together with its lite version, the Desire 820q. A Desire 816G was also released alongside these 820 models, which is a new version of the Desire 816 that does not support LTE.

With regards to the on- and off-contract prices of the Desire 820, no official announcements have been made yet. HTC will reportedly be revealing such details when the smartphone is made available in November.

With the Desire 820 being the premium model of the Desire family, it has been incorporated with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and a 64-bit multi-core CPU. This new device comes with a 5.5-inch HD screen and front-facing speakers as well as a powerful HTC BoomSound to enable users to experience entertainment in the most ideal way — convenient, reliable, and stylish all at the same time.

"With the HTC Desire 820, we've combined the most advanced technology with the best possible entertainment experience and bold, distinctive design, to deliver a handset that is both desirable and affordable," HTC's Peter Chou said, as quoted by Let's Go Digital.

In addition, the Desire 820 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera, and comes with a wide range of editing apps. For its performance, the smartphone provides speedy Cat 4 4G connectivity with a speed of up to 150 mbps. Thanks to its 64-bit processor, users can take pleasure in easily downloading films and videos, streaming music, and playing online games.

Interestingly, the upcoming device supports the Dot View case through which users can have immediate access to their smartphone without having to open the cover. Any notification, message or call can be addressed with a simple swipe.

This October, news for the release of the HTC Desire 820 has been confirmed for China, but its sale in other countries is yet to be announced.  The HTC Desire 820 will also be offered with dual SIM support in selected countries.
