Game developer 343 Industries announced that the major update for "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" is in its final stages of testing. However, the game developer has not dished out the exact release date of the patch update.

In a blog post, 343 Industries informed the gamers that it has been completing the content update, which will improve the stability, matchmaking, the party and invite system, and more. The content update will also include fundamental changes in the systems.

"We're happy with the progress on the next CU, with significant progress being made on big and small issues, and we're being diligent in gameplay and stress testing to ensure that it is a meaningful update. While we haven't yet locked an exact release date of this CU, the work is in its final stages of testing and bug squashing is well underway. The next time we communicate regarding the status of the upcoming CU, we will provide a definitive timeframe for its availability," 343 Industries said.

In its previous post in its website, it announced that it will no longer push the beta version of the major update for "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" as it will only delay the availability of the official version of the content update. Instead, the beta testing would be done internally. Originally, a public beta was supposed to be released for gamers to test drive before the general version is rolled out.

In addition, the developer will include new surprises in the major update that a beta test will only spoil for gamers. Furthermore, players will be rewarded with the smoothest game experience delivered by the major update.

Since the launch of "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" in November, it has been plagued with bugs that annoyed the gamers. The upcoming major update will reportedly put an end to all of the issues in the game.
