With less than three weeks left before the release of the beta version of "Halo 5: Guardians," game developer 343 Industries confirmed that the game is in its final testing stage. They are currently testing the Xbox One multiplayer for its launch pegged on Dec. 29.

GameSpot cited an unnamed Microsoft spokesman confirming that the game is still on track amid issues that plagued "Halo: The Master Chief Collection."

"The 'Halo 5: Guardians' development team is currently going through final testing phases of the 'Halo 5: Guardians' Multiplayer Beta in preparation for the official launch. Everything currently remains on track for release on Dec. 29," says the representative.

The beta version will be available for gamers who purchased "Halo: The Master Chief Collection." The trial will run until Jan. 19, 2015. This will allow gamers to try out the new features of the multiplayer game. Moreover, initial feedback from actual gamers will largely help the developers in improving the game for its official launch in fall 2015.

Meanwhile, the developers of "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" vowed to release more patch updates soon to fix the bugs and issues in the recently released collection. They even delayed the launch of the twin-stick shooter "Halo: Spartan Strike" next year so that they could prioritize fixing the game's bugs. 343 Industries top boss Bonnie Ross apologized for the bugs.

"We have not delivered the experience you deserve. I personally apologize for this in behalf of us all at 343 Industries. Our team is committed to working around the clock until these issues are resolved," Ross said, trying to appease gamers.

The developers released a patch update that resolves one of the main issues of "Halo: The Master Chief Collection," which is related to its matchmaking feature. According to the players, it takes quite some time to wait for a match and there are uneven teams when matches are found.
