'GTA V' news: Modder puts all 'Grand Theft Auto' cities in one world map

Fans of the "Grand Theft Auto" series have continued to show their support through numerous mods and fan work, and now, one Reddit user, VermillionDemonFox, has created a unique map that has the Internet ablaze with the possibilities of what "GTA VI" or a new "GTA V" DLC could be.

As reported by iDigital Times, the work of VermillionDemonFox puts all of the main "Grand Theft Auto" cities into one consistent world map. Los Santos, San Andreas is visible in the southwest area while Las Venturas has also been integrated into the San Andreas territory. San Fiero, the stand-in for San Francisco, is found just a little bit north from there.

Vice City is found at the opposite end of Los Santos, right at the southeastern corner of the world map. Liberty City, the setting for many of the main games in the franchise, is located in the northeastern end. The only location really missing from this fan-created world map is North Yankton.

Back in 2012, prior to the release of "Grand Theft Auto V," Rockstar producer Leslie Benzies indicated that they were interested in creating a game that had a world where all the main cities could be visited.

"Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas," Benzies told DigitalTrends back in 2012

Video games are getting bigger each year, with open-world sandbox games growing in size with each new installment. It is only a matter of time until Rockstar Games lives up to their word and create a DLC for "GTA V" that includes additional cities in a manner similar to the world map created by one Reddit user.

If they end up doing something similar to this for a DLC pack or for "GTA VI," then they will need to make several updates. The Vice City fans are familiar with is set in the 1980's so a few changes will be needed to make it match the 2013-2015 setting of "GTA V."
