'Grimm' season 6 release date, spoilers: Nick finds his dark side

Nick and Juliette NBC

During the finale of season 5, Nick (David Giuntoli) shifted into a darker, fiercer character and it is confirmed that in the upcoming sixth season he might take this to extremes as he discovers his primal, darker side. According to the actor himself during the past Armageddon Expo, Nick is going to become severely aggressive.

"Nick has gone through a lot of different phases of superpowers but those kind of tailed off as the episodes go on," Giuntoli explained. "I think they want to take Nick to -- I don't know about superpowers -- but I know they want to turn him into a fierce, aggressive, kind of unhinged character, so that will be really fun to play for me."

Fans will also recall that by the end of season 5 the love-triangle of Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch), Adalind (Claire Coffee) and Nick came to a head and this might force him to take things in a more dangerous direction as he knows Juliette wants to be with him now that her memories are back, and bring things back the way they were before.

Nick, however, showed his intent on staying with Adalind and their family but the latter decided to push Nick away, figuring that it was the safer choice to keep her family intact. However, as reported by Movie News Guide, even with the way season 5 ended and with Juliette regaining her memories, the love story between Nick and Adalind is not going to just go away.

With Nick doing everything to be with Adalind, season 6 might lead to some major characters being killed off, either directly by Nick's own doing or because of his actions leading to situations where someone could die. Fans speculate that Juliette may even die again or tragedy might befall Adalind due to Nick's actions.

"Grimm" season 6 is set to premiere this coming Oct. 28 on NBC.
