When "Grimm" season 5 left off in its midseason finale, the plot took a sudden twist when someone resembling Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) appeared. Revealed to be Eve, the synopsis from Cartermatt reveals that her story and connection to the deceased Juliette will be revealed when the show returns with episode 7, "Eve of Destruction."

According to the synopsis, Trubel (Jacqueline Toboni) will be offering Nick (David Giuntoli) some help and she may have the information that Nick needs regarding not only the increase in Wesen violence but also regarding Eve and her identity.

In a report from TVLine, it was revealed that Eve has all of Juliette's memories but none of her emotional attachments, which means she recognizes Nick and the rest of the gang but feels no need to re-connect with them. Instead, she is a completely "new" person working for Hadrian's Wall, the group battling the Black Claw.

"It's this new character, Eve, who has not been brainwashed exactly, but she's been through some incredibly tough training where they broke her down to nothing," series co-creator David Greenwalt explained. "She's basically a super Hexenbiest weapon for Hadrian's Wall to fight Black Claw."

Greenwalt also confirmed that there would be a crucial scene in "Eve of Destruction" that focuses on Eve and Nick confronting each other. According to Greenwalt, Eve doesn't relate to Nick in any form despite having Juliette's memories simply because she considers Juliette to be dead.

Tulloch also explained that Eve's new hairstyle is actually a wig. Eve is said to wear her new outfit and wig when going out on missions in order to avoid being recognized by those Juliette was close to during her life, such as Nick. Tulloch also stated that in order to prepare for the role of Eve, she spent some time watching episodes of "Alias."

"Grimm" season 5 episode 7, "Eve of Destruction," airs this Jan. 29.
