Android 4.4.3 Kitkat update to be released June 26 €“ report

The much awaited 4.4.3 version of Android Kitkat OS was reportedly coming on June 26, according to a report.

Android Geeks reported that Google will launch the new firmware at its annual I/O Developers' Conference on June 26 after the alleged OS version missed a lot of supposed release dates. The report noted that the search engine giant originally planned to roll out the firmware earlier; however, the company was faced with delays due to issues in building the OS.

It is still unconfirmed whether the Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS will be slipped silently to Android devices or will star the event. Moreover, there is still no word from Google whether it will release an overall new Android OS like it used to in the past I/O conferences.

It is no longer a secret that Google is working on the 4.4.3 Android Kitkat OS update, which will be rolled out soon to Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10. Rumors on the updated sparked two month ago when it was initially thought that the update was meant only for Nexus 5 smartphone to fix the camera bug that is affecting certain handsets. It was quickly followed by reports that the Android 4.4.3 update will come to the whole Nexus family as well as to Google Play Edition devices.

Roll out rumors were intensified by leaked photos of Sony Xperia Z Ultra Google Play Edition running Android 4.4.3 was spotted in Bluetooth SIG logs. HTC and Samsung devices also teased on the imminent arrival of Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS.

Lastly, it was speculated that Google will roll out the Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS on May 23. However, the roll out was delayed indefinitely and newer reports stated that we could see the update to be released this month. Different bug fixes to issues and problems brought about by the previous OS upgrade were expected to come in tow with the Android 4.4.3 Kitkat OS.
