The Google Nexus 8 release date may come really soon as it runs through a new certification. The certification confirmed that HTC will be taking the helm in making the upcoming Google's tablet.
According to Android Origin, a new device was recently certified by the National Radio Research Agency (RRA) in South Korea. The device has a model number that appeared in the 8.9 inch Nexus tablet or also known as Volantis/Flounder. The device code is "0P82100".
The certification also confirmed that the Taiwanese mobile manufacturer HTC will be Google's partner this year in making the Nexus tablet. In the past, Google asked for the support of Asus and managed to release two popular tablets – Nexus 7 and Nexus 7 2013.
According to the ongoing rumors, Google Nexus 8 will sport a 8.9-inch display screen and will be a "high-performance" tablet. Google Nexus 8 is rumored to pack a screen panel with 2048 x 1440 pixel resolution and 221dpi, NVIDIA's Tegra K1 processor, and 2GB RAM.
It is still unconfirmed which third party manufacturer will lend Google a hand in making the Nexus 8 tablet. The tablet will also come with Android L that is expected to arrive in October. But if Nexus 8 will come sooner, it will be most likely come with Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The tablet will be available with a premium price tag.
It was previously reported that Google Nexus 8 tablet will be launched later this year - most probably in October, but some reports claimed that Google may hold the fire until the first quarter of 2015 as 64-bit Snapdragon chipsets from Qualcomm will be commercially available to smartphones and tablets. Since iPhone 5S introduced a 64-bit processor and set a yard stick for other devices, it has become quite popular and has become an essential requirement to the upcoming devices. This is the same case with Google Nexus 8.
