'Gilmore Girls' revival release date confirmed; First trailer released for 'A Year in the Life' to premiering Nov. 25

 Netflix

Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life," the revival mini-series that officially continues the series following the season 7 finale. The trailer may only be a minute and a half long, but as stated by Cinema Blend it does reveal a lot about the upcoming series.

The trailer begins with series of clips showcasing the old locations in the show such as the Stars Hollow church, Luke's Diner, the town square and its gazebo all decorated for an Autumn festival and the Dragonfly Inn. It then cuts to the now fully-renovated home of Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham).

From there the trailer cuts to Rory and Lorelai talking in their kitchen while having Pop tarts and coffee. As stated in the report, the scene quickly reminds fans that although several years has passed, the show still retains its humor filled with odd jokes and pop culture references.

In particular, Lorelai goes on to ask Rory if she thinks actress Amy Schumer would like Lorelai as a friend, and the younger Gilmore quickly states they wouldn't get along due to the fact that Schumer is into a myriad of water sports. The trailer then ends with Lorelai asking Rory if John Oliver would think she's hot.

TVLine does confirm that the scene between Rory and Lorelai is not going to be included in the actual mini-series but has been filmed specifically to promote the show, showcasing the dynamics between the two characters and how they have remained the same while still getting older over the past few years.

"Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" will be composed of four episodes, each episode 90 minutes long. As shown at the end of the trailer, the mini-series will debut on Netflix this coming Nov. 25.
