Bran Stark is making a comeback on "Game of Thrones" season 6! And the kid that fans saw last is now all grown-up.
Entertainment Weekly has recently tweeted a first look image of Bran Stark for "Game of Thrones" season 6, and does he look different! Of course, that should not come as a huge surprise given that the young Stark sibling was last seen in episode 4 and had been absent for a whole season.
Now that he's making a comeback, the young Stark is no longer looking so young. In fact, the photo shows just how much the character has grown up, along with the actor playing it, Isaac Hempstead-Wright.
Isaac Hempstead-Wright was only 10 years old when he took on the role of Bran for HBO's "Game of Thrones." Well into the upcoming season, Hempstead-Wright is now 16. The way he looks now made Vanity Fair comment that the kids seem to be growing faster than Daenerys Targaryen's (Emilia Clarke) dragons.
In fact, a lot of Twitter users echoed almost the same sentiment in response to the EW tweet. Most tweets expressed surprise at Bran's new look: not only has he grown a lot, he is also sporting a new haircut.
One comment though is something worth exploring. User @Wondermorena asked, "So is the show finally going to do the five years timeline?" Author George R.R. Martin, who wrote "A Song of Ice and Fire" where the series was based, once said that he really wants the series to end with Bran and the rest of the "GoT" kids as adult.
With the books' slow pace, he said he might do a five-year jump. Will season 6 (and book 6, "The Winds of Winter") be when he's going to do it?
That last tidbit though remains a rumour and with no confirmation from either the show's creators or GRRM. Watch out for more of Bran Stark when "Game of Thrones" season 6 premieres on HBO on April 2016.
