'Final Fantasy 15' release date: Season Pass revealed; six DLC contents to look forward to

Final Fantasy XV - Season Pass Square-Enix

As said on the offiical PlayStation Store, Square Enix has revealed the Season Pass for "Final Fantasy XV." While the North American PlayStation Store page gives very vague details, a report from Gematsu reveals that the Japanese PlayStation Store has been updated to showcase what kind of DLC will be available.

According to the report, the pre-order for the "Digital Premium Edition" of the game will come with the Season Pass and will cost a total of $84.99. There will also be a separate version of the Season Pass for consumers who have already digitally pre-ordered the game. The report states that a Square-Enix representative has stated the company has no new information to share regarding the Season Pass.

The Japanese Playstation Store reveals six DLC content. Two of the DLC packs are titled "Booster Pack" and "Holiday Pack" and are likely going to contain cosmetic content such as new costumes. The others are all "Episodes" such as "Episode Gladiolus" and "Episode Ignis," hinting they will offer new missions and story segments for the game.

It is further stated in the report that director Hajime Tabata confirmed during this year's E3 that the DLC content has been finalized and would contain "additional story content, costumes, as well as things that don't fall into those categories that fans will be excited to see."

The final price for the Season Pass without the Digital Premium Edition bundled with it has yet to be announced. The final price tag is likely going to be posted on the North American PlayStation Store as the game's Sept. 30 release.

It is also noted that the Xbox Live marketplace has yet to be updated to offer the Season Pass as well.

"Final Fantasy XV" is launching for the PS4 and Xbox One this Sept. 30. A PC version has also been confirmed to be in discussion but is not yet confirmed.
