The original "Final Fantasy Versus XIII" was announced nearly eight years ago, at the E3 convention in 2006. The brand has undergone a lot of changes and rebrands. Now, the latest title, "Final Fantasy XV," has been announced and fans are eagerly awaiting its release to get the chance to play it on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
Those who wish to sample the game can get an exclusive playable demo with a pre-order purchase of "Final Fantasy Type-0 HD."
According to Square Enix' Scott Strichart, the demo bundle is "Never going to release as a stand-alone piece down the line. Secondly, it's intended to be a special gift for those of you who purchase early — the demo will be limited to the 'Day One' edition of the game, meaning that only the first shipment is going to have the demo in it."
The "Final Fantasy XV" demo, playable for up to three to four hours, is set in the Duscae region of the "Final Fantasy" world, with at least one dungeon that players can explore. No major boss fights are available, although the demo play clearly underlines the new features for this latest title. Gamers will be able to experience real time combat and open world exploration.
Aside from the demo, the Collector's Edition of "Final Fantasy Type-0 HD" also comes with the Steel Book, a golden case holding both the play disc and a 15-track song collection for the game. There is also a 200-page manga and an 80-page art book, supporting the game's characters and storyline. The merchandise also includes five life-size replicas of game cards of the Type-0 summons.
No details yet are available on when the full game of "Final Fantasy XV" will be released. The "Final Fantasy Type-0 HD" Collector's Edition will be available to PS4 gamers on March 17.
