'Fifty Shades of Grey' movie update: New trailer to launch July 24

Fifty Shades of Grey

The official trailer of "Fifty Shades of Grey" will be released on July 24 and another teaser photo of Christian Grey was made public.

"Hold on to your hats folks. You'll get your first look at the FSoG movie trailer on July 24. I've had a sneak peek and WOW! #WeAimToPlease," author of the book E.L. James tweeted.

The shooting of the movie adaptation of the trilogy of E.L. James wrapped up last February. However, the release of the trailer was allegedly delayed.

Entertainment Weekly reported that Anastasia looked "nervous but earnest" in the new trailer and Christian Grey appeared "handsome and aloof." Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter stated that the trailer is more romantic than sexy.

A lot of people are looking forward to the sneak peek of the film as the 5-minute footage shown last March at the Las Vegas Comic-Con received a number of harsh reviews. According to some critics, the film did not live up to the expectations of many fans of the book.

Christian Grey is played by Jamie Dornan and Anastasia Steele is played by Dakota Johnson. The movie also stars Victor Rasuk as Jose, Eloise Mumford as Kate, Marcia Gay Harden as Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey and Luke Grimes as Elliot Grey. Sam Taylor-Johnson is director, and James is one of the executive producers.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" is set to hit the theaters on February 13, 2015.
