'Fear the Walking Dead' season 2 spoilers: expanded setting hinted at in new video and images

Fear the Walking Dead season 2 AMC

The midseason finale for "Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 saw the main characters splitting up. As reported by IGN, several new images and a teaser trailer showcases where the second half of the season will pick up and where the characters might head toward.

Nick (Frank Dillane) separated from the group as he deemed them too violent, Travis (Cliff Curtis) and Chris (Lorenzo James Henrie) went on their own while Strand (Colman Domingo) was left escaping with Madison (Kim Dickens), Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) and Ofelia (Mercedes Mason).

Several of the images and the trailer indicate that Strand and his group will be taking shelter in a large hotel. However, clips in the trailer indicate that this is not going to be a safe haven for very long as the walkers begin breaking in.

Chris and Travis are seen driving in a pickup truck although there is a clip where they are seen driving by what appears to be the same hotel Strand and Madison are at. It is possible Travis will meet up with the group by accident or that he will be responding to an SOS call for help.

Nick is also seen with a group of strangers and it is speculated that this a group of survivors similar to Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) in the flagship "The Walking Dead" series given that they seem more armed and prepared to fight back against the undead. One of the female members of this group also tells Nick that she knows someone who can help.

Executive producer Gale Anne Hurd also explains in the clip that the stakes are getting higher as the timeline of the show starts diving into the thick of the zombie apocalypse.

"Now that the world has expanded, we can tell greater stories. We can explore different communities. And there are now, not only more infected, but in order to survive the stakes are even greater," Hurd stated.

"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 part 2 premieres this Aug. 21.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
