A month after Paul Walker's tragic death in November last year, X-Men actor James Marden was offered the role of Dawson, who was originally given to Walker, in the upcoming romance movie "The Best of Me".

James Marden has nothing but pure admiration for Walker.

"All I can say about that is he is just one of those tremendous actors that was even that much more special of a human being," Marden told Us Weekly.

"There was a wonderful energy about him and he was a terrific actor. You always want to be good stepping into a role like this but [it] felt a little bit more of an honor to play this role because of him," he continued.

"The Best of Me" is a film adaptation of a book of the same name written by Nicholas Sparks who is also the author of well-loved romantic novels such as "A Walk To Remember", "The Lucky One", and "The Notebook". It is about two childhood sweethearts brought together by chance after 20 years in a funeral in their hometown. The film will star Michelle Monaghan as Dawson's love, Amanda Collier, and will hit the theaters in Oct. 17.

"Fast and The Furious" star Paul Walker was on his way to a charity event outside LA with colleague Roger Rodas when they tragically died in a car accident. Cast members of the Fast and Furious franchise were deeply affected by the loss, especially Vin Diesel, who was posting photos nonstop on his Instagram account reminiscing his days with his good friend.

Also affected by the loss is Charles Carlino, who was a Porsche enthusiast like Walker.

Carlino said in a tribute, "Paul was a brother to all of us in the Car world and a key representative of the charity 'Reach Out World Wide' (ROWW). Unfortunately, we lost Mr. Walker in a horrific accident — the car world and the human race have lost a great son."

In commemoration of the beloved actor, he built a Paul Walker Tribute Car– a custom 997 Carrera GTS with perfect and stylish finish that boasts a 3.8 liter flat-six engine and an automatic six-speed transmission.
