Ubisoft on Tuesday dropped a new trailer for its upcoming game, "Far Cry Primal," which is set to arrive on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and personal computer (PC) later this month.
The "101" trailer lasts for almost five minutes and it gives players the idea on what the game will offer, particularly a look at the new weapons and new abilities to control beasts as well as the fight against human villains.
Players will become Takkar, described in the trailer as the "seasoned warrior of the Wenja tribe known as the Beast Master." Behind the controls, player should guide Takkar on a survival journey involving "brutal weapons," enemy tribes, and mystics.
Takkar's tribe is on the losing end, threatened by humans and beasts, and he needs to do whatever he can to bring his people back on top of the food chain.
To help him survive, he will rely on melee and ranged weapons, including clubs, spears, and bow and arrow. Players can even make Takkar forge a more powerful weapon to add in his inventory using rare materials that are found in different parts of the world.
Apart from fighting tribe warriors and beasts along his journey, Takkar will also infiltrate fortresses using some of the powerful weapons he's crafted. He has bombs and traps to do the work for him.
More interestingly, Takkar not only has an arsenal of handcrafted weapons, but also a special skill that allows him to tame beasts and make them fight with him. This ability will propel him to become the predator instead of the prey.
The protagonist also has an owl as his trusted companion, which not only serves as his scout but also his personal guard that attacks enemies. Takkar can make other animals, including bears, sabertooth tigers, and mammoths, do his bidding at any time. He can also ride massive animals to charge through enemy camps.

To save mankind, rebuild his village, and stop the extinction of the Wenja tribe, players need to control Takkar to search for, rescue, and protect lost members of the tribe.
"Far Cry Primal" will arrive on Feb. 23 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and on March 1 for the PC version.
