With a $30 shell out for a precious "Far Cry 4" Season Pass, players will get bonus weapons to exploit, new missions to overcome, more beasty creatures to brawl with, and a mint player versus player mode. It does not come as a surprise, though, since Season Pass offers can be considered a Ubisoft tradition.
The "Far Cry" franchise developer has detailed the contents inclusive to the pass. The first to be available is "The Syringe." Less than a month from now, on the launching day of the action-adventure first-person shooter video game, players can go either in single or co-op, whatever mode they find effective to spoil Pagan Min's dark plans to obtain a rare recipe that could threaten the rebellion.
The following Season Pass contents are yet to be announced by Ubisoft, but are all the more interesting. "Escape from Durgesh Prison" is sure to involve a getaway from Yuma's ties. Ajay Ghale can do it by himself but a little help from a pal in the form of Hurk would not hurt. Incidentally, the next one actually involves the endearing country lad. Ubisoft knows that fans want to see "more harpooning. More explosions. More Hurk. More awesome." With the "Hurk Deluxe Pack," players are endowed extra five missions to play such as Yak Farm, Blood Ruby and Hurk's Redemption — all of which to include a handy harpoon gun and Hurk, of course.
The new PvP multiplayer mode is called "The Overrun." Play as Rakshasa or any Golden Path member to "capture territory around Kyrat and stop that territory from being taken by your enemies." The last one might just be the best one yet. Ajay will face bigger and hairier creatures over outlandish territory of icy blankets and arctic terrain. Teeming with tools vital to upgrade the campsite, this Season Pass item requires a combat with a mysterious cult. It can always be easier as a duo, but with the single-player mode available, one player can best the abominable creatures single-handedly.
Ubisoft also offers a "Far Cry 4" Gold Edition on PlayStation or PC for $89.99, complete with the Season Pass. Xbox One will follow. "Far Cry 4" will officially come to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC on. Nov. 18.
