Developer Bethesda already revealed previously that expansion content is coming to "Fallout 4." Now, after the release of the "Automatron" DLC last month, the second expansion content pack is now available for the latest post-apocalyptic franchise installment.

Wasteland Workshop is the second planned DLC for "Fallout 4." In Bethesda's announcement for upcoming expansion content for the game, the studio said that the second DLC adds custom options for players to "... design and set cages to capture live creatures – from raiders to Deathclaws! Tame them or have them face off in battle, even against your fellow settlers. The Wasteland Workshop also includes a suite of new design options for your settlements like nixie tube lighting, letter kits, taxidermy and more!"

The new "Fallout 4" DLC will automatically be unlocked for season pass holders and can also be purchased as a stand-alone expansion pack for $4.99. The Wasteland Workshop pack is currently available on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions of "Fallout 4."

Meanwhile, first impressions were mixed when Wasteland Workshop went live. According to Christopher Livingston of PC Gamer, although a $5 price tag may seem reasonable for new expansion content for a massive, role-playing title like "Fallout 4," the new DLC fails to excite even with new items and activities.

The industry observer wrote, "... after I played with it for a while today, I realized that even though it adds a number of new settlement items and a few new activities, none of it feels essential or even that much fun."

iDigitalTimes, however, said that the new elements in Wasteland Workshop like the fighting arenas and surviving pits make for an additional challenge for players. In addition, having to customize arenas and pits for creatures and raiders alike means that players will have additional options in dealing with different enemies found in the Boston Wastelands.
