'Faking It' season 2 spoilers: Amy and Karma fake it again in episode 16

"Faking It" season 2 episode 16, titled "Faking It... Again" will see Karma (Katie Stevens) and Amy (Rita Volk) once again. The two will pretend to be in a lesbian relationship after they ended their earlier relationship when Amy revealed she started to really have romantic feelings towards Karma.

According to a report from CarterMatt, the reason the two will be putting their guise back is because of Molly (Amy Farrington), Karma's mother. Molly has never really stepped down from fighting for LGBT rights, even when it was revealed that her daughter wasn't in a real lesbian relationship with Amy.

This time, however, the duo will be setting up a larger set of rules in order to create a more believable setup. It was their lack of attention to detail that led Lauren (Bailey De Young), Amy's step-sister, to discover that they were faking it throughout season 1.

The report cites that this may be a bit cruel of Karma to ask of her friend, given that both are aware that Amy did feel real feelings towards the other right before they decided to come out and reveal their secret. It is possible that although they haven't been romantically involved for some time, it would take even the slightest romantic event such as a kiss or hug to get those emotions sparking again.

It is also hinted that Karma, who had been struggling with her own feelings towards Amy, may be subconsciously seeking out those emotions as well. This may be why she calls in Amy instead of trying to get into a relationship with a different girl.

However, the latter concept has not been fully explored in the first half of "Faking It" season 2 and may become a more pivotal plotline for the back half of the season.

"Faking It" season 2 episode 16 airs this Oct. 5.
