The police department in Memphis, Tennessee is currently responding to reports at an East High School that there are "people armed with guns." The MPD is reportedly setting up a perimeter around the school.
The school is currently locked down.
The MPD also says they are responding to a tip that was sent in. They have not yet confirmed whether the school is in any danger.
The news comes two days after a mass stabbing took place at a Pennsylvania high school.
Nearly two dozen people were stabbed at the suburban Pennsylvania high school when 16-year-old Alex Hribal attacked random students at the school.
Hribal, who was arraigned as an adult, faces four counts of attempted homicide, 21 counts of aggravated assault and one count of possession of a weapon on school grounds,.
