Drake new album release date rumors: 'Views from the 6' to launch Feb. 15

Back in November, Billboard pointed out that "Views from the 6," the latest album by musician Drake (full name Aubrey Drake Graham), may be released on Jan. 6, but the date has come and gone without the album's launch. It is now indicated that the album may launch in February, just in time for the Grammy Awards.

According to a report from Hits Daily Double, Drake's new album is set to release sometime during the Grammy season and that his new album will launch around the same week as Rihanna's album "Anti" and Kanye West's record album "Swish" will be released.

Drake has also posted several photos of himself and colleagues working on the album via his official Instagram account, indicating that "Views from the 6" is indeed in production and may be on its way to completion. Drake himself has yet to make any official announcements regarding his album's release schedule.

The official Twitter account for Rap Game Inc. has also posted a leaked list of songs that are rumored to be included in "Views from the 6." The list is as follows:

  • "Paris Morton Music 3"
  • "Sound/Flow Through" (ft. Popcaan)
  • "Rep"
  • "One in a Million" (ft. Kanye West)
  • "Can I" (ft. Beyonce)
  • "The Grace" (ft. Beyonce)
  • "11PM in Scarborough"
  • "Mind Over Matter" (ft. Rick Ross and Future)
  • "Smeared" (ft. Justin Bieber)
  • "Hotline Bling"
  • "Mercy"
  • "2 Strategical"
  • "Crossed the Line"
  • "No Need" (ft. Li'l Wayne)

There is also a rumored track titled "6ix Lights/You and the 6," which is speculated to be a personal message Drake wrote to his mother as it chronicles his life as an artist while also letting his father know that the rapper forgives him for abandoning him as a child.

However, Drake has yet to confirm if the leaked tracklist is accurate. It is possible that some of the listed songs will indeed be on the album but many may be cut out in favor of newer material.
